before anything starts.
Most people put off the dentist because of the bill, not the treatment. Here is exactly how the money side works here, so there is nothing to be nervous about.
Four things we promise
You hear the number before we begin
Whatever you need, we tell you what it is, what it will cost and what happens if you leave it — before any treatment starts. If you would rather take it away and think about it, that is a normal and sensible thing to do.
No consultation fee stacked on top
The examination is the examination. Nothing appears at the desk that nobody mentioned in the chair.
The quote does not move
If your case turns out to need more than the standard treatment, you hear that and the revised number before we carry on. Never afterwards.
We tell you when you do not need treatment
If a tooth can be saved we say so, even though an extraction is quicker for us than a root canal. If whitening would do what you are asking veneers for, we say that too.
How payment works
We are a cash and card clinic. We do not bill insurance companies directly.
If you have health insurance, we give you a stamped invoice and a completed reimbursement form to send to your insurer. You pay us on the day and claim it back afterwards. Most plans in the UAE accept this.
It is worth knowing that paying a clinic directly is often the cheaper route even when you are insured. A co-payment is a percentage of a price you were never shown, and an annual dental limit is easily used up by the middle of the year on one or two treatments.
Why we do not publish a price list
Two teeth that look identical from the outside can need very different work. A filling on a small cavity and a filling on one that has crept under an old restoration are not the same job, and pretending otherwise on a webpage would just set up a number you cannot rely on.
So instead of a list, you get a straight answer in the chair, before anything begins. Message us on WhatsApp beforehand if you want a sense of it — describe what is bothering you and we will tell you what it is likely to be.
Ask us anything before you commit
Three questions worth asking any clinic in Sharjah, including this one: what is the total, what happens if I leave it, and can I have that in writing. A clinic that answers all three plainly is being straight with you. One that will not is worth walking away from.
